The Process

The classic hymn, ‘Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus, is one of my all-time favorites. It is so simple, beautiful, and truthful. You know what else is simple, beautiful, and truthful? REFINED SUGAR.

I love a challenge, so recreating the famous Domino Sugar packaging in Illustrator was really fun. This specific type of tongue-in-cheek visual is especially charming to me, whether I’ve made it myself or I see it done by another designer elsewhere. A poster print of this piece is in my kitchen, and it just makes me smile whenever I see it.
